Mechanical Design Engineer

Booming construction firm specializing in specialty projects for the pharmaceutical and scientific industries is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Create or review Project schedule with team
-Perform all designs and calculations as required.
-Locate/Layout all air moving devices such as air handling units and fans. Layout duct-work with
associated HEPA filters, grilles, registers and diffusers.
-Layout HVAC piping such as chilled water, steam, condensate, drains and refrigerant piping.
-Locate /Layout fluid systems with associated accessories.
-Coordinate design with other disciplines.
-Provide support and coordinate equipment and materials selections with vendors.
-Mark-up plans and designs to issue to draftsman.
-Conduct Field Surveys.
-Utilize AutoCAD or Revit software.
-Demonstrate Customer Centric work style.
-Exceptional interpersonal skills.
-Team approach with Stakeholders, Supervisor, Direct Reports, Colleagues and Co-Workers.
Education:
* BS Mechanical Engineering with 2-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. While not required, right candidate will have intention of obtaining certification
* Minimum of 2 years" experience in the Pharmaceutical, Laboratory or Commerce environments

* Minimum 3+ years experience working with HVAC systems (Required)
* Proficient Excel, Project Management Software, Word, Outlook,
* Should be expert in CAD/BIM Software
