Title:Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC

We are partnering with a growing industrial manufacturer based in Charlotte, NC on a search for a motivated & skilled Mechanical Design Engineer.

Responsibilities:

· Develop new product designs from concepts, based on customer interests, budgets, and market research.

· Apply a functional knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, structural mechanics and design for manufacturability and reliability towards achieving product goals

· Coordinate all product development work for assigned products and ensure engineering objectives are met.

· Develop engineering drawing packages using CAD for release to production on numerous product lines.

· Design & validate parts, components, tooling, and fixturing using CAD that fulfill both regulatory & quality requirements.

· Analyze problems or deficiencies & develop effective solutions.

· Confirms system and product capabilities and reliability by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties, along with conducting required testing & validation cycles.

· Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering Technology required

· 4+ years’ experience in product design in manufacturing

· 3D CAD Modeling and component/assembly drawing creation proficiency is required, SolidWorks is preferred

· Problem solving skills using common methodologies (5-Why, 8D, Fishbone diagrams, etc.)

· Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work on multiple project tasks to completion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,268.39 - $94,258.71 per year
