They design and supply industrial furnaces, related equipment as well as melt shop process equipment for the metals.This also includes Furnace Door Systems, Castings, Rolls, Skid Pipes/Riders, Misc. Fabrication, Radiant Tubes and Accessories.Our client is seeking a experienced Mechanical AutoCAD Drafter/Designer for a Small Engineering and Design Fabrication shop.
This position would also require some customer/client onsite visits, minimal local (within 1 hour) travel. Quality Checking experience is preferred on finals products and changes.Qualifications: High school diploma/GEDCAD Experience: AutoCAD (latest version)Certificate of Competency Drafting preferredStrong math skills that include a working knowledge of the basic principles of geometry and trigonometryAdditional CAD equipment and software experience a plusQuality Control and/or Final inspection experienceDetail oriented with a desire for accuracy, all hands-on deck mindset.Good verbal communication and social skillsWillingness to learn, Working Conditions And Physical EffortResponsibilities:Under general supervision, prepares mechanical CAD drawings and support documents for fabrication.Obtains basic mechanical and structural data from project documents and design sketchesPrepares fabrication drawings using computer aided drafting (CAD) techniquesAssists the engineering staff in developing sketches for client presentationsCandidates experience with Industrial Furnaces' and Equipment would be familiar with Brickman Furnaces, Core Furnaces and other related products
