Job Description
Job Summary:
- Create drawings to make tooling and dies to produce customer parts.
Responsibilities:
- Use of AutoCAD and or SOLIDWORKS for drawings, updates and quotes.
- Use of catalogs and web to purchase and size engineering items.
- Do form and fit analysis on CAD and paper.
- Use die history and designs to assist in new designs.
- Call vendors, quote sizes and availability for steel and other items.
- Use of ERP system for project and job entries or queries.
- Track and document data with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- MS Access, Publisher, OneNote other MS products may be required.
- Must be able to use Email ( MS Outlook) effectively.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be able to perform all duties and meet requirements with or without accommodation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divides in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and reports.
- Must have ability to successfully complete all training requirements listed on training matrix for this position.
- Must be available for scheduled work. A normal work week is five 8-hour days (four 10-hour days optional) or more as necessary. On occasion, night shift and weekend overtime work are possible.
- The ability to use Microsoft products.
- ERP experience a plus.
