Pay Rate Range: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking highly motivated candidates for the position of Assembler/Tester A in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate should be mechanically inclined with experience in building/assembly, capable of reading procedures, following directions, and demonstrating strong work ethic and focus to support the team. Mandex testing will be required for this role.
Position Summary:
The Assembler/Tester A will accurately and efficiently assemble/test a variety of moderately complex products to achieve customer quality and on-time delivery schedules. This position involves working on products containing mechanical components, single hydraulic systems, and multiple part numbers. The role actively contributes to lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs, receiving general supervisory guidance.
Essential Functions:
- Perform moderately complex assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment.
- Record test results on data forms using electrical equipment and flow measurement devices.
- Identify malfunctions disclosed by test data and rework as instructed.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, and customer requirements.
- Produce and inspect assemblies conforming to product specifications.
- Perform touch-up or full surface painting of parts with finishing materials.
- Actively participate in lean initiatives by identifying improvement areas.
- Assist in training less experienced team members.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules and maintain a FOD free work area.
- Calibrate equipment according to schedule.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Two or more years of industry-related experience in assembly/test in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated product and process knowledge.
- Ability to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.
- Strong mechanical reasoning.
- Proficient in basic mathematical calculations, verbal and written communication, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to implement lean initiatives and work effectively in a team environment.
- Soldering certification may be required.
- Ability to interpret reports and use standard business software applications.
