Job Description
Aerotek is looking to hire Mechanical Assemblers at a great company with room for growth! Anyone with a strong mechanical aptitude is urged to apply! This company focuses on assembling ground support units for the aviation industry, specifically commercial and military aircrafts.
DAILY DUTIES:
-Responsible for assembling pre-formed sheet metal components, using equipment such as drills, wrenches, and other hand/power tools.
-Read and interpret drawings and sketches.
-Maintaining a daily time log of work done on manufacturing and/or production travelers.
-Doing sub-assemblies for custom built GSE units built for Southwest Airlines, Delta, US Government and United Airways and more.
Qualifications:
-Strong mechanical aptitude
-Comfortable lifting 50 pounds
-Experience using hand and power tools
Work Environment:
-Working with others in a manufacturing setting
-Potential to work outside in all weather conditions
-Steel toe shoes required
Shift/Pay:
-First Shift: 6:30am-3:00pm $17-$18
-Second Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm $18-$20
