Mechanic - Full Time - Margate (FL), United States
Join our Services_AME team within Services division in United States as Mechanic to help us take Turbomachinery Service and Repair to the next level.
Position Summary
This is an entry level position for someone who is mechanically inclined and looking to develop a career in a mechanical field by providing support to the Technicians and ensuring project readiness and execution.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Work with team members to assist with disassembly, minor repairs, assembly, and modification of gas turbine engines, turbines, and accessories.
- Adhere to detailed work instructions and procedures.
- Perform cleaning and sand blasting of parts.
- Perform all tasks at the highest level of safety awareness.
- Properly utilize provided PPE at all times.
- Able to work in high noise level conditions utilizing proper PPE.
- Able to lift 40lbs.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
Secondary responsibilities:
- Operate instrumentation to perform pressure and flow tests.
- Inspect, operate, clean, & maintain shop equipment, facilities, and support systems.
- Complete any other tasks within the company to support objectives and to develop individual skills.
- Maintain certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, etc.).
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects to bring improvement to the department and company.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Hands-on experience working in industrial or shop service environment.
- Experience with repair or maintenance of engines and/or rotating equipment.
- Versatile worker who can work well in a team setting and independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling Mechanical Assemblies and Parts
- Sand blasting and cleaning of parts
