Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the meat department, including inventory, ordering, and pricing
- Ensure the highest quality of meat products are available to customers
- Supervise and train meat department staff on proper food handling and safety procedures
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of meat products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department
- Assist customers with selecting and preparing meat products
- Monitor and maintain proper temperature controls for all meat products
- Implement and enforce food safety regulations and standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food production, preferably in a restaurant or culinary setting
- Proficient knife skills for cutting, trimming, and packaging meat products
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assist customers in selecting and preparing meat products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
- Culinary background or experience in the food industry
