Meat Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Meat Manager to oversee our meat department. As a Meat Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and freshness of our meat products, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. Duties:
- Manage all aspects of the meat department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper sanitation standards
- Train and supervise meat department staff on proper cutting techniques, packaging procedures, and customer service
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular product rotations to minimize waste
- Collaborate with other departments to develop promotional strategies and drive sales
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and department expenses
- Stay updated on industry trends and new products to provide customers with the best selection

Experience:

-Minimum 3 years experience
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a meat department or similar role
- Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food production processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and staff
- Proficient in using knives and other meat processing tools safely
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and recipe development is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
