Responsible for trimming meat by hand with a knife, as well as additional duties or tasks.

Monday – Friday 5:30am – 2pm
Reports To: Plant Manager

$19.00 - $26.00

• Unload pallets of meat products and pack meat products from processing lines as dictated by supervisor

• Trim, slice and cut meat products

• Pack bags into boxes and stack boxes onto pallet to be returned to cooler and/or freezer

• Maintain clean production and common area environments

• Additional duties as assigned

• Ability to speak and read English in a clear, understandable manner.

• Ability to accurately follow detailed procedures and processes

• Prior experience in the basics of using knives for meat trimming

• Must have the ability to carry out instructions furnished in both oral and written form

• Maintain a professional working relationship with co-workers at all times

• Ability to act in an ethical, honest and professional manner at all times

• Regularly work in a refrigerated environment

• Occasionally withstand freezer temperatures

• Regular and prolonged standing, bending and walking

• Ability to be able to bend and stoop as needed

• The employee must occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 70 pounds

• Repeated use of hands and arms

• The noise level in the work environment is usually high
