Butcher/Meat Cutter

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting various types of meat products in accordance with food safety standards. This is a vital role in our organization as you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and freshness of our meat products.

Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, and portion different cuts of meat according to customer specifications
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain product quality and minimize waste
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sanitizing equipment and utensils
- Package and label meat products for display or storage
- Assist customers with their meat selection, providing excellent customer service
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the meat department
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to management

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or food production setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Proficient in meat cutting techniques, including the use of knives and other cutting tools
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
