POSITION SUMMARY
Scheduled hours are daily Monday through Friday 8:30am-2:30pm (30 hours per week) and $17.00 per hour. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of Age Well's Meals on Wheels Program in Laguna Niguel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Follow Nutrition Site Procedure Manual and Title III regulations.
- Assess and determine eligibility of seniors or the Meals on Wheels Program.
- Perform initial assessments and complete Registration Forms.
- Provide appropriate referrals to community resources, including Age Well Senior Services Care Managers.
- Conduct annual reassessments and other reassessments on a quarterly basis.
- Collect weekly and monthly donations, count monies, and prepare daily cash receipts.
- Reconcile daily meal orders, cash receipts, and meal roster.
- Provide accurate reports to the Administrative Office.
- Set up, pack bags, and drive Meals on Wheels routes as necessary.
- Maintain client files.
- Manage Meals on Wheels routes so they are no longer than 2 hours in length.
- Volunteer development: Training and scheduling volunteers to assigned routes.
- Promote services for the Meals on Wheels Program and Age Well.
- Attend all required Site Manager and Age Well staff meetings.
SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Other duties as assigned.
- Answer phones, retrieve messages, and return calls.
- Greet walk-ins and assist seniors as needed.
- Assist other site Managers with special events.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- AA degree preferred but not required.
- Must be able to supervise, train and motivate volunteers.
- Must Proficient Computer Skills Excel, MS Office, Word.
- High level of communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be well organized and detail oriented with strong time management abilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and reports. Must have good verbal and written skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- ServSafe Certification (provided upon training).
- Must have valid California Driver’s License.
- Valid vehicle insurance.
- Valid vehicle registration.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
