In conjunction with the Senior Child Life Specialist/Griffin Cares Program Coordinator, the Child Life Specialist/Griffin Cares Program is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing programs of recreational, therapeutic and rehabilitative activities for hospitalized and ambulatory children and their families. He/She will have frequent contact with patients (both inpatient and outpatient) and their families who have experienced pregnancy/fetal/newborn/pediatric loss. He/She will facilitate patient follow-up and future connections for supportive care including support groups and behavioral health care resources. The incumbent must have the ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with the Emergency Department, Same Day Surgical areas and all units within Maternal Child Health. Good interpersonal, communication skills and organizational skills are required for this candidate to be successful.

Education Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology or Child Development, Creative Arts therapy, Child Life or other related program.
- At least two years of demonstrated experience in counseling techniques and evaluations.
