Position TitleMathematics Teacher QualificationsTeacher certification within the subject-area of mathematics Reports toBuilding-level Administrators Terms of EmploymentTeacher contract PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Teaches courses in mathematics utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Education and other appropriate learning activities.Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.Demonstrates mathematical concepts using technology, and other standard and/or teacher prepared instructional aids.Provides opportunities for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.Designs and facilitates learning activities that relate mathematics to the physical world.Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment.Evaluates each student's progress in mathematical knowledge and skills.Maintains professional competence through professional development.
