Math Instructor:
Over the past couple of years, students have lost lots of math skills. We are looking for fun, patient, math-focused tutors who are eager to create those "lightbulb moments" which are so common at Mathnasium!
Hours (3+ Shifts of 3+ Hours Expected During Below)
Monday-Thursday: 3-8
Saturday: 11-3
Sunday: 1-5
Starting Compensation
Current High School: $10
Current College: $15
Current Graduate: $15+
Required Qualifications:
Exceptional math skills through Algebra I and Geometry
Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
Energetic, confident, and fun personality
Ability to solve basic technology challenges
Reliable and Responsible
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to teach students and upper-level high school math courses, including Algebra II and Pre-Calculus
Previous teaching experience or other experience working with students
Behavior management education, skills, or experience
Customer service and sales skills
Ability to provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, and build confidence among students
Position Summary:
The Mathnasium Instructor is responsible for delivering mathematical instruction to students using the Mathnasium Method. Instructors are committed to providing exceptional customer service through an expert approach that is personal and prescriptive, attending to each individual students needs. Instructors build students confidence and self-esteem through successful encounters and interactions with carefully selected materials. Instructors work as part of a team and operate in a team teaching environment where collaboration and communication ensure all student needs are addressed. Instructors are the backbone of Mathnasiums customer service by delivering exceptional math instruction for students.
