The teacher is also preparing the students for placement in advanced mathematics classes as they enter 9th grade into Philadelphia's elite preparatory schools. In addition to teaching 3 advanced math blocks and one inclusive religion class, the educator works with the students 3 days per week after-school, and is compensated hourly for this time.
Experience:Experience teaching diverse learners and differentiating instruction (preferred)A track record of leading students to successfully achieve those expectations (preferred)Experience working with children and communities in an urban setting (preferred)Certification, Degrees, and Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (required)Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate (preferred)Clearance on all required background checks (required)Note: A teaching certification is preferred but is not required.
