Position: Math Teacher (1.0 FTE) (EX Certification) Location: Glen Lake High School Reports to: Building Principal Pay Rate: In accordance to the Glen Lake Federation of Teachers Master Agreement Start Date: August 2024 Qualifications: ? Valid Michigan teaching certification with appropriate endorsement (EX) ? Use of research based teaching methods and strategies ? Understand that connections are essential to foster learning ? Understand that high expectations are necessary for all students ? Understand that the classroom environment needs to be intentionally designed Responsibilities: ? Have a relationship approach to classroom management ? Teach district approved curriculum, using instructional best practices that support student ownership and empowerment ? Intentionally plan and design the learning so that students have the opportunity to learn in whole group, small group, and individualized instruction ? Use formative assessments to continue to drive lesson planning and learning ? Be part of the Laker School Family by participating in professional development, attend staff meetings, and being a team player Other qualifications are considered in the final selection of a person to fill this important position.
