As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced MATERIALS TECHNICIAN who will be responsible for ensuring that material is shipped to the customer in a timely manner, ensuring shipping orders are not delinquent.

  • Manage inventory using a Min-Max method.
  • Determine inbound windows to ensure a smooth flow of material.
  • Maintain the layout for all material received and manage material flow using scanning technology to route and deliver Material.
  • Manage returnable containers to suppliers.
  • Manage engineering change process to ensure breakpoints are achieved.
  • Participate and engage in continuous improvement activities.
  • Communicate and interact with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
  • Complete weekly layered audits.
  • Monitor supplier non-conformance and issue PRRs accordingly.
  • Monitor inbound loads for timelines and update materials records.
  • Monitor and measure inventory via cycle counting and 4 wall inventory count.
  • Work and communicate with customers and Material department to ensure the delivery of parts.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Warehouse experience (REQUIRED)
  • Inventory experience (REQUIRED)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (REQUIRED)
  • Great communications skills, both verbal and written (REQUIRED) 
  • Knowledge of SAP (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
  • Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems (HIGHLY PREFFERED)
  • Lean manufacturing experience (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
