Materials Manager
The Materials Manager at Phoenix Spine & Joint works as part of the Clinical Team to ensure that patients receive a premier, evidence-based experience. The Materials Manager is responsible for the monitoring, purchasing, stocking and receiving supplies and equipment for the Facility. Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Additional languages preferred. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Knows programs relevant to inventory management. Participates in opportunities of continuing education. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to communicate effectively over the phone, in writing and in person. Demonstrates the ability to utilize recognized channels of communication, including visual and auditory acuity for computer and telephone. Demonstrates the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers, vendors, and other health team members.
Reports to: VP of Surgical Services
Location: Goodyear and Scottsdale Surgery Center
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzing financial reports, price proposals and other information used to determine reasonable pricing
- Negotiating contracts for the organization and working out agreements with suppliers for product delivery
- Meeting with vendors and staff to discuss unacceptable and defective products and establish corrective action
- Evaluating and monitoring contracts to ensure suppliers and vendors are complying with terms and conditions
- Maintaining and reviewing records of inventories, product performance, deliveries, costs and items purchased
Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent
Training Courses in Materials Management with experience in Materials Management
Complies with safety standards, qualities in attention to detail, organization, accuracy, ability
to meet deadlines, follows instructions, and low degree of supervision required.
Skills: Effective verbal and written communications skills, professional demeanor, must be a team player with a patient-focused attitude.
Characteristics: Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. Maintain a friendly and compassionate attitude while maintaining clear and efficient communications.

Designed by Dr. Dan Lieberman, a leading neurosurgeon, the Phoenix Spine & Joint surgery centers streamline the patient experience to allow patients with spine and joint pain to go from initial review to completing our minimally invasive surgery and being pain free as quickly as one week. We have three surgery centers in Goodyear, Scottsdale and now Gilbert. Our corporate headquarters, located in the Biltmore area of Phoenix, houses our customer service, finance, billing and IT functions.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
