Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, responsible for receiving, sorting, inspecting, and delivering incoming material shipments within a stockroom, warehouse, receiving or mail center.
Job Duties:
- Inspects materials and ensures shipment is received as ordered.
- Uses shipping documents, bills of lading, packing slips, delivery tickets, invoices, and department order forms to conduct shipment inspections and maintain stockroom inventories.
- Processes and sorts materials for delivery to recipients or distribution point.
- Completes delivery of materials and orders to customers, obtaining signatures as required.
- Picks up outbound materials and processes utilizing appropriate shipping method.
- Assists customers with shipment and order inquiries.
- Resolves shipment issues as required and refers complex issues to higher levels.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
One (1) year of related material handling experience is required.
