[[Materials Lab Technician]] - Full Time - La Porte (TX), United States

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Prior Materials Lab experience.
• Knowledge of metallurgical sample preparation and analysis.
• Proficient in the use of an optical microscope and scanning electron microscope.
• Understanding of the microstructure of steel and nickel alloys.
• Knowledge of ASTM standards related to material testing.
• General understanding and familiarity with Non-Destructive Evaluation methods (wet magnetic particle inspection, fluorescent dye-penetrant inspection, ultrasonic testing, radiography).

What you bring to Sulzer:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Knowledge of high school-level chemistry, math, and science.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to grasp technical and design aspects of rotating equipment services and repairs.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects.
• Physical ability to work in a shop environment.
