Job Summary:
The Materials Specialist is responsible for receiving, moving, storing, counting, tracking, issuing, and shipping a variety of cGMP materials and supplies. The manufacturing team relies on this position to provide the right materials at the right time in order to meet customer on-time delivery needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Timely and accurate issuance, return and transfer of intermediates and finished product, components and label control material and manufacturing related materials in accordance with FIFO policy
• Coordinates with manufacturing all material delivery and returns based on planned schedule
• Coordinates the pallet movement to and from manufacturing and pack-out suites, assuring transference based on production schedule including all required Sage system transactions
• Verifies material availability and lot status in Sage system prior to manufacturing processes, assuring accuracy of materials moved to guarantee timely delivery to correct suite and executes the movement completion in Sage system in accordance with FIFO policy
• Confirms the materials received in Sage system and generates all transactions necessary for the return of unused material to warehouse and any other Sage transactions according to SOPs as required and performs reconciliation of materials and product to assure inventory accuracy in accordance with FIFO policy
• Palletizing and wrapping product in preparation for transfers or shipment
• Physical inventory to include cycle counts
• Daily inspections of powered industrial equipment, warehouse, and cold rooms
• Conforms with and abides all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety and environmental requirements in performance of duties
• Follow the 5S methodology for audits
• Keep equipment and warehouse in a clean and orderly condition per cGMP standards
• Provides support for reprocess work and items in the quarantine area
• Provides support for shipping and receiving, including unloading inbound materials and preparing transfers and customer shipments
• Must be able to work in a clean room environment
• Identify and repair any damaged pallets, boxes, labels, and wrapping of product
• Utilization of Sage system for material flow to manufacturing
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma
• Experience working in a manufacturing, warehousing, or similar environment/industry with a focus on safety
• Experience driving a forklift.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all employees at all levels.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to influence others
• Strong working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations required
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and preferably PowerPoint.
• Ability to present training course material to individuals and groups and to effectively facilitate their learning process
• Provide both support in the training department and with manufacturing production
• Ability to seek and utilize varied resources.

• Climb ladders and/or stairs
• Crawl, bend, twist, carry, reach and kneel throughout shift
• Push and/or pull up to 100 lbs
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Work with and/or around chemicals and/or hazardous materials
• Ability to see and distinguish color
• Work in seasonal conditions that may include extreme hot, cold, wind and precipitation
3 day on/3 day off rotation
Hours: 6:00pm to 6:30am
