This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Materials Examiner and Identifier (FLO) ~ without more than normal supervision: Performing common duties such as: compare data against accompanying documents and notes discrepancies; inspect and determine condition of usable property; assigs classification instructions for warehousing; identify and segregate property according to classification; re-warehouses materials. These duties have been performed under normal supervision. -- Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
  • Physical Efforts: Work requires continuous standing, walking, stooping, bending and light to medium lifting. Frequently lifts items weighing up to 60 pounds and occasionally heavier items.
  • Working Conditions: Works primarily indoors. May be exposed to dust, dirt, or fumes and odors from damp clothing and equipment. Work area may be hot, drafty or unheated. Frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes and bruises; falls; or injury from materials handling equipment. Wears appropriate safety apparel as deemed necessary by management. May also be exposed to injuries while driving, loading, or unloading vehicles.
