Summary of Position:
Independently accomplished work processes in connection with medical and surgical supplies. Keeps materials and supplies in an orderly and organized manner. Maintains close control on material and supplies to eliminate waste. Works closely with Materials Supervisor to analyze inventory usage patterns.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Performs twice daily inventories of storerooms and area material points as directed. Conducts cyclic inventories of storeroom as directed.
Restocks using proper rotation, organization, identification. Assists Receiver with bulk deliveries and bulk warehouse orders. Follows Materials Management protocols for processing purchase orders.
Processes all inventory transaction via handheld data entry scanner and enters data (issues, receipts, adjustments) to stock rooms.
Properly selects transports and delivers supplies (medical/surgical material, charts, office products, oxygen tanks, etc) and equipment from point of storage to point of use.
Maintains records of issue and receipt on all equipment released through General Stores area and Operating Room.
Logs on and files patient issues transactions and inventory batches in an organized fashion.
Audits transactions to ensure accuracy before entry into Meditech.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED required. Some hospital experience related to knowledge of surgical supplies preferred. Familiarity with available storage and retrieval system preferred. Basic computer skills and data entry experience required. Meditech computer familiarity preferred. Knowledge of warehousing procedures and techniques is a plus.
Salary Range: $17.25 - $24.63
Pay Grade: 13
