We believe this is possible by investing in the right talent and partnering with best-in-class manufacturers to: Bring to life a diverse portfolio of new products built upon innovative technologies/methods Honor our commitment to our people and our planet WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON As our Materials Developer II, you'll be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of seasonal products and working with a diverse group of peers. Ensure materials/yarns data accuracy and timelines are achieved Collaborates with Design and manages new material developments. Assists in creating/updating material processes.
Knowledgeable on MPS and RSL standards Creates and updates Flex Material records. Updates new material developments through Flex and tracks progress. Assists on maintaining Materials Library.
Provide insight & guidance to product creation regarding the application of footwear upper materials. Appropriately manage risk, problem solve, and proactively seek information to make informed decisions (with support as needed). Develop new materials from initial concept through commercialization with CTS and T2 vendor.
Collect and review appropriate documentation for materials; ensures all appropriate documentation is maintained in Flex or Box folders. Maintains all critical SOPs and associated documents for material development and operations onboarding in centralized hub. Collaborate with CTS on sampling and prototyping of materials; Communicate and address key issues/challenges in development and plan accordingly to deliver proven and tested materials on time.
Monitor and communicate challenges throughout processes to meet materials integrity and readiness requirements. Executes on material best practices, standards, and educational tools. Communicate with vendors effectively.
Develop knowledge of vendor base & capabilities. Develop knowledge of market trends and consumer insights. WHAT YOU BRING Bachelors degree in Materials, Design, or related field or two additional years; experience in lieu of a degree Minimum 2+ years directly relevant experience in Consumer Product and or Manufacturing General technical knowledge Understanding of project management and problem solving concepts and application Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives; Strong project management and organizational skills Proactive in seeking out people and information Accountable for individual contribution to the category or project team Critical thinking & analytical skills Ability to work independently with minimal guidance Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize Curiosity & Learning Agility Builds technical knowledge Learn & understand Product Creation process & tools, testing requirements & best practices Ability to work across cultures and navigate an organization matrix with sensitivity to a variety of cultures.
