KAMTEK is a premier Tier 1, automotive manufacturing supplier that specializes in Class “A” Stamping, Assembly and High Pressure Die Casting that produces Body-side and Door Openings, Roofs, Floor Pans, Wheelhouses, Large Welded Assemblies, Doors, Fenders, Hoods, Lift-gates, Aluminum Shock Towers, and Aluminum Rear Rails. Role Summary
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Material Manager sets the strategic direction of the department in accordance with the Management Team and the General Manager. The Material Manager is responsible for all material, externally and within Kamtek, including planning, releasing, shipping of raw material, and shipping of finished goods to customers. The Material Manager schedules production together with the production departments and assures material and machine availability to fulfill customer demands. The Material Manager has full control over all inventory at Kamtek and assures that Kamtek operates with a minimal amount of inventory at all times. The Material Manager is responsible for the operation of all warehouses Kamtek utilizes. The Material Manager assumes responsibility for the safe operation of all logistical functions within the plant and at the warehouses (receiving, raw material, WIP, Press Shop, Assembly Shop, Finished Goods and Shipping).The Material Manager oversees the availability and utilization of ERP systems and fully supports all efforts to upgrade the system to Epicor (CMS). The Material Manager works closely with Purchasing, IT, Production and Finance to guarantee that all transactions are timely and accurate. The Material Manager assures inventory accuracy is maintained at the highest level possible (>99%). The Material Manager works closely with Engineering, Quality and Production to assure product control at all times. The Materials Manager is responsible to ensure that the Customer, People, and Investor goals are balanced and met.
Key Responsibilities

- Establishes and implements departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
- Ensures that Kamtek maintains a proactive management style, an open-door policy for a positive employee relations climate, measured by a yearly EOS Score
- Coordinates and/or act as a liaison between the Division and other Corporate Entities, External Organizations, Suppliers, and Customers
- Implements a Management System (IATF16949) that encompasses all aspects of Kamtek’s business
- Assures that the area is ready to pass system and process audits at any time
- Drives all activities together with the SAP team to implement strong business systems for inventory control and production planning
- Attends a monthly Management Review to monitor KOI’s and defines countermeasures if targets are not achieved
- Continuously strengthens all systems to strive for Excellence regarding all aspects of the business
- Prepares and participates in the Quarterly Review with Cosma

Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Knowledge and proven skills in World Class Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Strong math skills with the ability to apply to costs and analyze data.
- Strong listening, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and exceptional planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and with a variable workload (flexible hours) to meet external and internal customer requirements
- Demonstrated maturity of judgement and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze plant data and apply results to produce desired business objectives
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate activities of others
- Technical skills in Materials and inventory management, production scheduling, preventive maintenance and the day-to-day operations of a large manufacturing operation
- Leadership: A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
- Excellent project and program management skills
- Must be a “Self-Starter” with the ability to formulate a project and see it through to its conclusion.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required, College degree preferred – Supply Chain or Equivalent
WORK EXPERIENCE
WHAT TYPES? Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment with class-A related products and a minimum of 3-5 years of Materials Manager experience
HOW MUCH? 5-10 years Automotive, with 3-5 years of Materials Management experience
