Job Description:

• Works extensively with MRP system to manage tactical purchasing of raw materials to support fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Creates and maintains production schedules for specified workcenters in support of overall production schedule/
• Works directly with suppliers on planning and scheduling requirements in addition to providing suppliers with longer term forecasts. Ensures that deliveries are made as planned.
• Monitors inventory levels to balance warehouse space and production needs in support of corporate KPIs.
• Manages material flow of WIP materials between production facilities. Recognizes and understands production requirements. Meets daily with Production Planners, Inventory Control and Distribution to confirm plans.
• Maintains planning parameters of raw materials for proper MRP planning.
• Coordinates with Product Management, Master Data, Suppliers and Packaging Engineer on raw material for new product development.
• Assists as necessary in various Supply Chain projects spanning all production sites.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Highly analytical: critical-thinker; strong analytical aptitude and attention to detail; problem solver
• Excellent computer competence: comfortable working in a very automated environment with multiple and complex software systems; experienced in MS Excel; familiar with ERP/MRP fundamentals
• Organized: ability to multitask and prioritize; results oriented
• Strong interpersonal skills: a team player that communications effectively at all levels, both internally and externally; relationship builder
• Flexible: adaptable and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; able to work additional hours when required
• Professionally mature: a proactive self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction, but also follow directions; remains calm and focused in high pressure situations
• Motivated: enthusiastic; strives for excellence; continually seeks to improve self and company; ability and strong desire to grow with the company; leads by example
• Bachelor's degree and two+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• APICS classes/certification a plus
