Description
- Analyzing inbound logistics cost drivers and performance, reviewing operational actual versus planned cost to develop action plans to improve performance and explain deviations to plan
- Tracking and use of KPIs for cost driver opportunity and utilizing operational actuals to drive improvement
- Leading the inbound logistics operational efficiency opportunity identification, project management, cost control and CPU governance activities for select Assembly, Propulsion and Stamping Plants
- Leading inbound logistics launch process, working with several partners including planning, suppliers, plant, purchasing, and supply chain to complete key activities in support of flawless launches (optimal design at minimal cost) and project manage the Logistics Launch Readiness Tool
- Hosting weekly calls and meetings with key stakeholders regarding implementations, cost control and CPU governance.
- Managing daily governance of operational actuals, and mitigating plan spend when plant is over target
- Managing spot buy reasoning and invoice approval process
- Requires a basic understanding of Logistics, Finance, and Operations and working cross functionally with Logistics Engineering, Planning, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Finance

Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Finance (preferred)
Skills
- Ability to lead problem solving activities and manage project timelines
- Capability to concurrently manage multiple cost saving/stop spending operational improvement projects and initiatives
- Ability to analyze basic financial data and identify cost drivers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
- Proficient MS Office skills – Power BI, Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
This role is catergorized as Hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite three times per week at minimum.
