Material Handler/Shipping & Receiving

Position Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for using multiple types of lifting equipment to move materials throughout the plant and warehouse. The position also ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed and staging finished product final distribution.

Essential Job Functions - Material Handler

· Drive forklift to move raw materials throughout the plant.

· Follows all safety procedures while operating equipment

· Maintain an organized production area for the operators and assistants by appropriately placing product where it belongs

· Prepare for shipment by pulling, packing, loading and securing products

· Keep pallets in an orderly manner in the warehouse

· Other duties as assigned

Position Summary - Shipping

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for all outgoing product orders from Legacy Flexo.

Essential Job Functions - Shipping

· Responsible for coordinating the packaging of all finished product by following the schedule and prioritizing accordingly

· Wrap and record all finished product to prepare for shipment

· Generate shipping documents and labels

· Maintain appropriate records and reports

· Load trucks and ensure accuracy of the orders being loaded

· Adhere to all safety procedures, specifically when operating machinery

· Accountability for all issued equipment to perform the job

· Assist with receiving of product as needed and maintain inventory control

· Store wrapped finished goods in an organized manner

· Inspect shipments for damages and defects

· Communicate with other Shipping Department employees to meet goals and standards

· Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

· 1-3 years of experience in a shipping/receiving department

· HS Diploma or equivalent preferred

· Must be able to problem solve

· Must be able to think logically and respond to inquiries on the fly

ADA Requirements

· Must be able to regularly lift up to 40 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs

· Must be able to team lift up to 108 lbs.

· Must be able to bend, reach, twist, stoop, crawl and crouch regularly in order to perform various job duties

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
