Position Overview
Hunter Douglas is currently seeking a Material Handler for our Salt Lake City, UT facility. Reporting to the Shared Services Supervisor, the Material Handler plays a key role in maintaining the distribution and flow of materials to various departments. This is a key role that supports the production in our Salt Lake City, UT facility!
Schedule: Second Shift Monday - Thursday 3:30pm to 1:30am (Overtime may be required some Fridays and Saturdays as needed)
What you'll do
- May assist in various tasks such as receiving, material handling/ replenishment/put-away, and shipping areas as needed.
- Utilize systems such as SAP to ensure correct transactions are taking place
- Will be consistently walking, bending, reaching, lifting, using step stools, and overall being active throughout the ten hour shift
- Will safety utilize material handling equipment (sit down lift, standing lift, walkie) to transport material to and from locations including loading docks, trucks, and storage areas
- Will use the RS scanner, computer, radio as needed
- All other duties as assigned
Who you are
- Have at least 1 year of experience working in a similar role, warehouse environment
- Ideal candidate will have the ability to work well in a team or individually
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to adapt to changes in priorities
- Ability to lift between 20-75lbs
- Must be comfortable asking for help as needed
- Have excellent communication skills: Read, write, speak English
