Material Handler / Forklift Operator - Nights

The associates are responsible for operating a forklift/reach truck/ order picker for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating and stacking of products. The employees are responsible for the safe and efficient use of the equipment, they are also responsible for order selection and stocking as the need dictates.

Stocking: Move product to the storage locations. Efficiently stack and store the product in the appropriate area (s) as directed.

Order Picking: Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is picked. Make certain product comes from the proper locations and the lot numbers agree to the picking documents. Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets productivity standards.

Equipment: Move, stack and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, slip-sheet or other power equipment as directed. Maintain the facilities equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect and verify equipment is operating prior to the start of the day's activity. Advise your supervisor of any problems encountered. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.

Inventory: Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation by following lot number identification.

Safety, Sanitation and Security: Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety.

Food and Safety: Working with fellow employees to ensure that processes and procedures insure the health and safety of all. This will also involve the associate during unique tasks to insure MCS is in compliance with all necessary regulations.

1 year of previous forklift experience is required.
