Production Team Member – Smyrna, TN

If so, AESC is currently seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Driver to work on a Mon-Thurs 4x10 Night shift starting at 6:30pm. Pay starts at $20.00 per hour plus includes a $1.50 night shift premium.

About the Role

Join our dynamic team in Smyrna, TN, and contribute to the production of cutting-edge electric vehicle batteries at our state-of-the-art factory. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, uphold our commitment to sustainability, and be part of the journey towards a zero-carbon emission future.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
  • Label every product and placing them accordingly.
  • Identify and locate the right products during the delivery process.
  • Keep a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory.
  • Handle returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication.
  • Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance.
  • Convey purchasing requirements and keeping data on the availability of products in short supply.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products.
  • Move materials for R&D and production from various building locations.
  • Contribute to the production of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and high-quality production processes.
  • Uphold our commitment to environmental sustainability and innovation.
  • Embrace a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.


What You'll Bring:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass forklift testing/certification.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
  • Aisle Master lift, Narrow Aisle lift, and/or reach truck experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or related fields preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
