Summary: This position ensures the safe and timely delivery of materials, employing the highest industrial safety standards. The material handler ensures material are staged, available and in the queue in accordance with the extrusion production schedule and to the manufacturing work instruction requirements. This position works closely with all levels of the Operation Staff to effectively and efficiently execute the requirements of the production schedule in accordance with all ISO, cGMP, and regulatory requirements. This is 3rd shift position training on 1st shift.
Job Responsibility:
- Ensure raw material complies with standards and work instructions at all times.
- Prepare Material/stock for distribution by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading and securing product. Locates and packs materials for inhouse distribution.
- Ensures accurate handling of all raw materials.
- Maintains proper documentation and traceability including tags, ERP transactions, in accordance with all necessary work instructions as well as maintaining accuracy of material at inventory time.
- Safety: operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items. Adheres to safety requirements/practices/procedures as required PPE/Clothing. Follows LOTO and handling practices of chemicals per procedures, maintaining safe work practices, HAZMAT policies, refer to SDS when applicable. Performs other duties as required buy in accordance with the ADA.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree/ High School with 2+ years of experience in warehouse/shipping/ receiving materials handling.
- valid drivers' license and safe driving record
- 1 year of experience in a stock and inventory with operating a forklift, pallet jack etc.
- Must be detailed orientated, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision while still being a team player.
- Ability to interpret all PPC documents including safety rules, operational instructions, procedure manuals, invoices, packaging list and SDS sheets.
- Work at a fast-paced environment with continuously changing jobs and priorities.
- Ability to use computers, working knowledge of Microsoft office, including Outlook, Work, Excel and the ability to work with ERP enterprise applications.
Physical Requirements: (with or without the aid of mechanical)
- Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to input, handle or feel, use of arms to reach, ability to hear and talk.
- Must wear safety glasses, wear seatbelts when operating fork trucks.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds for prolong period of time.
- Periodically overtime could be required including weekends.
