Job Name Material Handler - Bottling (1st Shift) - Angel's Envy Country: United States of America City: Louisville, KY Function: Operations Reporting Line: Bottling Supervisor Job type: Full time About the role Responsible for moving all inbound and outbound freight, at Louisville Distilling Co. (LDC) Liaises with other LDC departments, with regards to material movements (trailer moves, trailer unloading, and loading.) Responsibilities Is point of contact for unloading trucks entering in LDC facility. Reviews for accuracy all pick slips, and warehouse manifests for accuracy.
Ensures all alcohol samples are picked up by proper carrier. Responsible for all loading of non-barrel items shipping from the LDC. Responsible for unloading of all non-barrel items delivering to the LDC.
Responsible for all Yard Dog trailer movements on the lot. Responsible for the upkeep and general cleanliness of the entire trailer yard at LDC. Works with Supply Chain on truck schedules, (glass in, finished goods out, grain, and barrel truck movements) Assists security, all departments and Logistics Coordinator on general truck flow and traffic on the lot.
Keeps the bonded cage in clean, organized manner. Keeps inventory separated to assist with monthly counts. Ensures trailers are sealed properly and loaded per approved load pattern.
Ensures pallet, trailer, and seal information on BOL and verifies accuracy for number of cases and weight. Arranges with Logistics Coordinator on live loads and shipping schedule to avoid demurrage charges. Is main point of contact for forklift and Yard Dog training.
Assist on the Bottling Line as needed to support the business. Performs any other job-related duties as requested by the management team in the shipping department. Skills and Experience Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: 5 years experience in related field Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment. Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted. Must be comfortable unloading trucks either with either a pallet jack or forklift.
Must be able to pass DOT medical exam Must be able to obtain CDL license. Excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills.
