Our search begins for a Material Handler at our Dickson, TN facility to work afternoon shift (2:45pm - 11:00pm).

FUNCTION: Perform duties to move parts, materials, and components to designated areas in the plant utilizing forklift. Load and unload material conveyance and process equipment safely to facilitate production.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Sequence the delivery of raw material according to needs of operation.
• Maintain material conveyance and process equipment to facilitate production.
• Inventory raw material and production output.
• Pull and deliver components to production or assembly areas according to work orders or oral instructions.
• Responsible for rotating the recycling and scrap containers on production floor.
• Completes appropriate documentation regarding relocated material and computer data entry.
• Stack, crush, dispose of, or recycle waste packing material such as cardboard cartons and pallets.
• Clean equipment.
• Take inventory and complete cycle counting.
• Responsible for any other special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or GED; competency in basic math
• At least one year experience in similar environment
• Forklift operation
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.'
