Summary

The Material Handler receives and distributes parts, goods and other merchandise to aid the logistical functions of Pathfinder Aviation. Employee supports the supply department by helping with shipping/receiving and acquisition/distribution of parts and inventory.

Essential Functions

• Prepare items for shipment to various company locations and/or return to supplier expeditiously.
• Prepare and maintain records of materials received and dispatched including dates of transactions, locations & other pertinent information.
• Ship and receive parts to be returned, delivered or acquired in a timely manner.
• Verify shipments against purchase orders and examine upon arrival.
• Transport and load materials, supplies and parts into/out of company vehicles manually and/or using hand truck and/or forklift.
• Help to maintain and improve current company shipping and receiving procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Position will regularly require approximately 30 miles of driving a day. Employee will be required to maintain a good driving record and have familiarity with vehicle controls and operations.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; get in/out of vehicle; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to read, interpret and implement the safety items included in the Employee HSE manual.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time non-exempt position. Workdays are Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day. Actual hours will be determined with supply department and occasional on-call/overtime hours may be needed.

Travel

Travel may be needed occasionally to deliver parts/products in the field as needed.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Good driving record
• Atleast 2 years prior experience with material handling

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience in an aviation-related environment
