Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Material Handler to join our team.
What are we looking for?
- Standing on a concrete floor
- Sitting, getting up and down off of a forklift often
- Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)
- Bending, stooping, twisting, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55lbs
- Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust dirt, and chemicals
- Vision correctable to 20/20
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
- Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently at all times
- Receive and unload raw materials and supplies from delivery equipment
- Provide and perform material receiving and storage data entry and reporting as required
- Perform periodic and routine inventories of raw materials in storage
- Provide and perform routine maintenance checks on equipment
- Assist in other production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality activity in other areas as directed
- Perform housekeeping and sanitation procedures
- Provide functional communication with other staff members as necessary to optimize quality, efficiency, productivity, and safety
- Loading trucks, live loads, and staged loads
- Ability to operate Forklift – (Expert Level)
- Operation of site yard dog
- Direct ship responsibility, including proper disposition of hold product, food safety hold product, and released product
- WMS, BOL responsibility/accountability
- Support Warehouse Area Lead with all activities associated with the shipping department
