Summary: Ensure all material going in and out of the yard is handled in an organized and safe way.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load all Roof Trusses going out for delivery.
- Assist in unloading in coming deliveries as needed.
- Work with the truss production team to ensure all staged trusses are in one place in the yard and in a clean and organized manner.
- Complete a pre-use inspection on forklift daily prior to operating the lift
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Consistently meet acceptable attendance and punctuality expectations
- Complete all duties assigned within and outside of normal job scope
- Demonstrate a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement, identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Minimum one year as a forklift operator
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Efficient and able to work safely
- Strong team work ethic
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Takes pride in quality of work
- Knowledge of building materials used in residential construction.
Other Requirements:
- High School degree or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required
