The Material Handler 1 moves products throughout Haas’ manufacturing facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performing transactions within SAP (order completions, transfers, etc.).
- Maintaining all assigned areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Verification of part numbers, utilizing SAP dispatch lists and other SAP information.
- Proper packaging of parts.
- Safe and efficient movement of all products.
- Verifying material counts.
- Maintaining component inventory between established minimums and maximums.
- Coordinating with shop personnel regarding materials needs.
- Transfer of non-conforming materials to the proper locations.
- Supplying part handling materials (boxes, pallets, protective paper, etc.) to shop locations.
- Fills-out necessary paperwork/documentation.
- Must be able to operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lift.
Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
- Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Maintains an active Haas Forklift certification.
- Knowledge of basic ERP transactions and information, such as Bills of Material, Routings, performing order completions, etc.
- Knowledgeable of material handling activities, including packaging standards, proper use of forklifts, proper protection of parts (oiling, wrapping, etc.) and related procedures.
- Understand the sequence-to-sequence flow of routings.
- Knowledge of maintenance requirements of forklifts within the department.
Can perform basic transactions within SAP, using desktop computers, iPads, etc., as well as proper paperwork processing.
- Knowledgeable in the proper and safe manner of securing materials on trucks and forklifts.

Education
High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) credential such as general education degree (GED) is required, plus an additional one to three months related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
