- Provides In-Home community based therapeutic services to at-risk youth for contracts with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) following CDC guidelines and provided PPE to ensure safety
- Provides Mental Health and/or substance use assessment and counseling services according to Evidenced Based Practices, DJJ contract, and in accordance with policies and procedures
- Provides weekly individual therapy and family therapy when applicable per DJJ contract
- Demonstrates an understanding of clinical signs / symptoms and able to formulate a treatment plan to address therapeutically diagnosis needs and quality of care for client
- Must be flexible to accommodate clients’ schedules and provide therapeutic services during evening hours and weekends
- Maintains ongoing chart audits to ensure compliance and quality assurance of services provide
- Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing community resources as supportive services and discharge planning
- Serves as a liaison for the client, family, referral source and other social service agencies
- Works effectively with culturally diverse groups and individuals experiencing an exacerbation of either psychiatric, substance use and/or medical symptoms, as well as experiencing a stressful situation
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling or related field plus a minimum of one year of experience providing Mental Health and/or substance use counseling.
- Must have knowledge, understanding and experience utilizing Evidence Based Practices including CBT/MI
- Must be flexible and adaptable to meet clients’ needs
- Must be motivated to serve others and develop professionally
- Must have excellent organization and time management skills
- Must have a solid clinical foundation and understanding
- Must successfully complete all criminal background checks annually
- Must provide documentation of a valid Florida driver’s license and proof of insurance which must be maintained throughout tenure in the amount of at least $10,000/$30,000/$10,000 for liability limits
- Must maintain a safe driving record with no more than 6 points on motor vehicle report (MVR)
- Must be Computer literate and comfortable with using TEAMS, Zoom, Electronic Medical Records, Electronic Employee System, etc.
