JOB SUMMARY
The Master Scheduler produces and maintain an accurate master schedule. This role ensures accuracy in jobs pulled and shipped. This role maintains the master schedule with a minimum 2 week horizon. The Master Schedule will include all required work forecasts (labor hours) and details (plating, bending, machining) for each job on reporting. Assist project managers, supervisors and department heads.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Workload planning and job assignments.
- Master Schedule maintenance.
- Determining material and parts requirements.
- Strategic planning for Inventory Optimization.
- Incentive reports and calculations
- Daily Ops report and Sales report
- Goal deployment sheets updates
- Business review presentations
- CP performance analyses
- Lost opportunities information analysis
- Competitor research/information
- Inventory analyses – product line, E&O, stock outs
- Maintains various reporting systems for ensuring that documentation is accurate and timely.
- Creates production schedules daily and ensures that output is recorded into the correct system.
- Communicates with customers when there are significant variations in product demand.
- Communicates demand information across a facility so that everyone is aware of volume and metrics.
- Reconciles inaccuracies with customer shipments and deliveries.
- Works directly with employees to resolve scheduling issues.
- Works with vendors to ensure that supply needs are met.
- Documents key information for analysis which includes downtime, peak production, inventory accuracy and scheduling accuracy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Inventory Management and inventory accuracy of 95% or greater (reduction, turns, accuracy)
- Strong analytical skills and financial understanding
- Demonstrates the ability to use a computer and various database programs—including Microsoft Excel—proficiently.
- Document production goals and deviations from these goals on a regular basis.
- Understand customer demand and how to alter production so that this demand is met.
- Act as a liaison between vendors, customers and laborers as well as other departments within the company.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of supply chain activities.
- Work efficiently under pressure and help motivate employees to meet demands

- Must demonstrate ability to develop and maintain an accurate Master Schedule.
- Must poses excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to report status of jobs in progress.

- Meeting customer needs in a timely fashion, insuring 95% plus on time delivery.
- Taking responsibility for the inventory team’s performance, as well as purchasing department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in in materials supply chain management, engineering, business or similar field
Preferred Education / Experience
- Six Sigma Certification
- APICS Certification
