Master Planner/Scheduler

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Master Planner/Scheduler to join our growing company. The Master Planner/Scheudler will be a key member of our team and report directly to the General Manager. This role will work with Production, Inventory, Procurement, and Engineering teams, and be both customer and supplier facing.

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules to meet internal goals and customer delivery expectations, and ensure that materials are aligned with the production schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Production Plans: Create detailed production schedules that align with company objectives, inventory levels, and capacity constraints. This involves forecasting demand, planning for project materials, and coordinating with production operations, procurement, and engineering.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of project materials to ensure they meet production timelines without excessive overstock. Adjust schedules as necessary to optimize inventory turnover rates. Confirms material supply for launch of projects and ensures supply chain schedule is aligned with production needs.
• Capacity Planning: Participate in SIOP meetings to plan for current and future production capacity needs based on forecasted demand. Work with production management to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
• Coordination with Departments: Collaborate closely with sales, production, procurement, and engineering departments to ensure schedules are maintained and align with broader company goals. Address any scheduling conflicts and adjust plans as needed. Work with support functions to ensure production documentation is available before projects launch.
• Customer Management: Keep customers informed on project status and any potential delays via weekly project trackers and meetings.
• Performance Monitoring: Track production performance against schedules and adjust plans as needed to address any deviations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving scheduling processes and tools. Implement best practices in scheduling and production planning to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Risk Management: Identify potential production risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them. Ensure schedules are flexible enough to accommodate unexpected events.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in production planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
• Broad knowledge of production planning strategies and optimization.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; Ability to communicate effectively with clients, management, and staff by exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to overcome scheduling challenges. Ability to adapt to changes in production demand and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with ability to extract and analyze data from multiple sources.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
