ABOUT ITEMIZE

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Master Data Manager (MDM) oversees the company’s information and data assets, including all quality and integrity initiatives. The MDM supervises acquisition, aggregation, and normalization processes, as well as ongoing enhancement of the company’s data. This includes data generated from Artificial Intelligence systems, data generated by end users, and data acquired to enhance AI systems. The MDM coordinates data hygiene and audit activities with colleagues on the Customer Operations and technology teams to ensure the company achieves client SLAs. The MDM will work with members of the Go-to-Market team to develop new information capabilities built on the company’s data assets.

The Master Data Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing data assets, including metadata, reference data, taxonomies, model libraries, data partnerships, and other information resources
  • Coordinating new data acquisition and annotations for AI model development
  • Creating, analyzing, and maintaining BI for tracking production SLAs and identifying anomalies
  • Monitoring data assets for ongoing quality and improvement opportunities
  • Partnering with others in the firm to develop new data capabilities to drive innovation

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • 5 years experience in an MDM or ETL role at a data, payments, or tech organization
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and QuickSight
  • Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases and other data management toolkits
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Strong communication skills and the drive to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in financial services or financial supply chain businesses is a plus
