The successful candidate will support Marketing and other stakeholder teams with sophisticated campaign targeting and segmentation capabilities. The ideal candidate has experience supporting outbound marketing teams, generating audiences for email and mobile push notifications and ensuring segmentation supports campaign testing strategies. Marketing Segmentation Analyst - SQL Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $40-$50
- Worksite: Leading podcast and audiobook company (Newark, NJ 07102 - Hybrid or Remote, Candidates must be located in the United States)
- W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
- 40 hours/week, 10 Month Assignment
Marketing Segmentation Analyst - SQL Responsibilities:
- Support Marketing and other stakeholder teams with sophisticated campaign targeting and segmentation capabilities.
- Write SQL queries to pull audience segments.
- Maintain and develop segmentation for automated programs (onboarding, retention, etc.).
- Ensure segmentation supports testing strategies that allow for accurate measurement of campaign performance.
- Partner with Tech and Data Engineering teams to diagnose and drive the resolution of technical issues relating to customer targeting and data hygiene.
Marketing Segmentation Analyst - SQL Qualifications:
- 3+ years in CRM, Database or Campaign Analytics roles.
- Advanced SQL query writing experience.
- Experience supporting outbound marketing teams, generating audiences for email and mobile push notifications and ensuring segmentation supports campaign testing strategies (e.g., proper sampling techniques and sizing of treatment and control groups).
- Experience creating segments in support of multi-channel campaigns and automated customer journeys.
- Experience working in Jira or similar workflow management software preferred.
- Must be familiar with customer attributes and outbound campaign data (email, push).
- Technically capable with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field of study.
- Knowledge of email and mobile push marketing best practices preferred.
- Experience with AWS Redshift a plus.
- Strong analytical capability and a solid understanding of campaign performance and channel health metrics preferred.
