Meador Staffing has partnered with a local college to add a Communications Coordinator to their team! This college has been around for over 100 years, so this is a great opportunity for someone looking to work with a reputable school.
The Communications Coordinator works with the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services to further the college by providing engaging, original written content for digital, social, and print mediums for the college.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate, research, and pitch ideas for written content aligned with the college's recruitment and marketing goals.
- Work closely with our graphic designer to develop and design the written content for print, digital, and social media platforms.
- Prepare emails and social media campaigns for college special events, student recruitment, and as needed across departments.
- Manage and maintain the college's social media presence.
- Manage and maintain the college's blog site.
- Write, edit, publish, and promote content for the college's blog. Promote new blog posts using advertisements, emails, social media, and other methods to alert and attract new readers.
- Maximize blog site traffic by utilizing search engine optimization.
- Collect information, compose, layout, and manage the publishing process for the college's magazine, annual report, and other publications and brochures. Includes interviewing subjects and writing articles about them for publication.
- Help maintain content on the college's website, including content posting, branding, special online programs, and online functionality.
- Maintain maximum working relationships with members of the media and make regular and frequent submissions of articles to related and appropriate professional and external periodicals and publication sources (ACA, TCA, JACA, etc.)
- Prepare news releases regarding subjects, projects, and issues relevant to the college's position or interest.
- Prepare all campus communications for delivery via email, text, and social media.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING:
- Associate's degree in English, Marketing, Communication or other related fields.
- Bachelor's degree preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Strong command of the English language with the ability to think conceptually and creatively.
- Must have strong attention to detail skill set. Skill in interviewing, writing, and editing, with the ability to quickly grasp the technical concepts of chiropractic.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and effectively manage various tasks simultaneously and function within a sometimes unstructured environment.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and the ability to convey interest in and pleasure with the general public are of primary importance.
PAY: $21-$24/hour
SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm
