The National Addiction Awareness Complex is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Marketing Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing exciting campaigns that promote our organization’s mission & vision, brand, and fundraising initiatives. This position will require a strong understanding of marketing strategy, social media platforms, content development, and community engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with NAAC leadership and fundraising team to identify marketing needs, craft strategy, and develop/execute marketing plans.
- Develop and implement social media campaigns to manage and grow social media accounts, direct people to join mailing list, and make financial contributions.
- Create engaging and informative content, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities and respond to comments and messages appropriately.
- Analyze engagement metrics and adjust strategies accordingly to improve engagement and reach. Ability to measure and communicate success by analyzing different data points, like engagement rates and click-through rates, etc.
- Create marketing plans and content for publicizing events.
- Curate the monthly Aware-A-News Newsletter.
- Stay up to date with social media, newsletter, crowdfunding, and traditional marketing (e.g. print, audio medias) trends and best practices to ensure that campaigns are effective and innovative.
- Know how to target different industries and audiences with tailored messaging.
- Be familiar with both Microsoft Office products and Google Suite is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field a bonus
- Proven experience as a Marketing Professional, preferably with a nonprofit.
- Experience with marketing mail platforms (we currently use Mailchimp).
- Knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube (others)
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Strong creative and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Passion for promoting addiction awareness and education.

In this position, we are offering Fundraising Based Compensation as an Independent Contractor. Compensation will be fully explained during the interview process. As a contractor, you will need to be financially stable to participate with us as a startup team member.
