Marketing, Professional Membership Intern
The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-fueled organization whose mission is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the quality of life for the children and adults affected by these diseases. Our work is dramatically accelerating the research process through our varied research initiatives; we also provide extensive educational and support resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public. In addition, we lead federal and state-based advocacy campaigns to support medical research funding and improve patient access to care. Position Summary:
The Foundation has an exciting opportunity available for an intern to support the Marketing team and help engage and attract members within our Professional Membership program. Our Professional Membership program consists of leaders and specialists in the healthcare field relating to patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The intern will report to the Sr. Manager of Professional Membership.
This is an 8-week Internship opportunity, running from February 12 - April 5, 2024 with 20 hours/week anticipated.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Data hygiene: updating information for members in Salesforce database, including information and data cleansing for members who appear in our online membership directory.
- Support our quarterly member newsletters by collecting submissions and assisting in drafting each newsletter.
- Creating resources for our chapters to use for outreach to prospective new members. This will include resources to create and disseminate in our employee internal e-newsletter.
- Assisting in upload and organization of Professional Membership assets in our Digital Asset Management system (DAM).
- Helping to curate "bundles" of resources for members that make it very easy for them to access for patient-specific needs.
- Helping to create and execute marketing plans to address specific needs for individual member segments, and implementing tactics that align with the strategy.
- Currently pursuing a degree or recent graduate with interest in non-profit management, marketing, or related field
- CRM/database experience strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
- Microsoft Office proficiency preferred, but not required
- Creative problem-solver
- Exceptional customer service skills
