The hotel's food & beverage programs are spearheaded by Gin & Luck, the group behind the critically acclaimed Death & Co. brand and consists of a lobby bar and restaurant with year-round outdoor seating and a laid-back all-day café. Set atop MOLLIE's top floor is a rooftop pool and terrace that transforms into an intimate lounge by night, with unobstructed views of Aspen Mountain. MOLLIE Aspen has been developed by HayMax Capital, a leading local development firm, specializing in Aspen hospitality and residential development.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to join our prestigious luxury hotel. As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives to promote our hotel's brand, increase occupancy rates, and enhance guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality marketing, a creative mindset, and excellent communication skills.

Location: Aspen, CO

Start Date: April 1, 2024

Employment Type: Full Time, Exempt

Schedule: Varies, must be available to work holidays and weekends

Category: Sales and Marketing

Pay Rate: $75,000 DOE

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance brand reputation.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing techniques, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in using marketing analytics tools to track performance, analyze data, and derive actionable insights.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for innovation and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing and motivating a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with colleagues, clients, and external partners effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to drive brand awareness, increase revenue, and maintain a competitive edge in the hospitality market.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team and ownership to define marketing objectives, identify target audiences, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing campaigns.
  • Manage the hotel's digital presence, including website content, social media channels, and online advertising campaigns, ensuring consistency in branding and messaging.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling content, including blog posts, articles, videos, and photography, to showcase the hotel's amenities, services, and unique offerings.
  • Coordinate the design and production of marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and promotional merchandise, in collaboration with external agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and guest feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in marketing strategies.
  • Plan and execute targeted email marketing campaigns to engage past and prospective guests, promote special offers, and drive direct bookings.
  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets, influencers, public relations firms, and industry partners to secure press coverage, sponsorships, and collaborations that elevate the hotel's profile.
  • Analyze marketing data and generate reports to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns, identify areas for optimization, and make data-driven recommendations to enhance ROI.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, allocating resources strategically to maximize impact and minimize costs while achieving desired outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor a marketing coordinator, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster their professional growth and development.
  • Work closely with Dreamweaver, Sales Manager, Rooms division and other hotel leaders and/or guests in content creation and social media posts from special programming and events.
  • Work closely with Gin & Luck marketing department for food & beverage specific content and marketing outlets with their partnership and our hotel marketing strategies.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions, acting as a brand ambassador, and building relationships within the hospitality community.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possess a deep understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics, particularly in the context of the hospitality industry.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships.
  • Able to organize work, meet critical deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Proficient in conducting market research to identify target audiences, analyze competitor activities, and assess market trends. Ability to prioritize when dealing with multiple outstanding tasks.
  • Ability to maintain brand consistency across all marketing efforts, ensuring that messaging, visual identity, and brand values are effectively communicated to target audiences. problem solving and creative thinking.
  • Proficient in creating compelling content across various formats, including written, visual, and multimedia. Ability to use sounds judgment when in stressful situations.
  • Possess a creative mindset and the ability to generate innovative ideas for marketing campaigns, promotions, and branding initiatives. Knowledge of business telephone etiquette and phone sales techniques.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with the capacity to interpret marketing data, metrics, and performance indicators.
  • Ability to develop and manage marketing budgets effectively, allocating resources strategically to achieve desired outcomes while maximizing ROI.
  • Correct English usage, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary.
