NATURE AND SCOPE:
Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and contribute to various marketing initiatives. This position will work closely with the marketing team to support and development and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities. This role offers exposure to different aspects of marketing and provides an excellent learning opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in marketing.
RESPONSBILITIES (including, but not limited to):
- Assist in the creating and implementation of marketing campaigns across various channels, such as social media, email, content marketing, and digital advertising.
- Help develop marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, presentations, and other promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the team to coordinate and execute marketing activities and events.
- Assist in researching and drafting newsletter content, editing weekly newsletter and assisting with content collection.
- Assistance with design of social media graphics and review of social channels including content scheduling.
- Support online marketing channels including Website ongoing review and editing, email Communications including drafting and creating email communications, pulling distribution lists, and executing email sends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with overall business objectives.
- Assist in maintaining marketing databases, contact lists, and documentation.
- Gain knowledge and understanding of the role of strategic marketing for a large nonprofit organization.
- Shadow marketing team including participating in meetings and planning sessions to gain understanding of the organization's strategic marketing efforts.
- Support the marketing team in managing & organizing software systems and platforms that support the marketing functions of the organization, including:
- Marketing & Communications Brandhub (SharePoint)
- Canto Digital Asset Management System
- Marq Template Customization Platform
- Canva Design Platform
- Click-Up Workflow Management System
REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently pursing a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of marketing principles and strategies
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms, such as social media management tools, content management systems, and email marketing software
- Experience with Canva Design Platform
- Experience with Canto Digital Asset Management System

- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check including Criminal Record check, Drug Screening and motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company policy.
