Intern - Social Media Content Collector

POSITION SUMMARY

The Social Media Content Collector Intern will support the Authority Companies in various aspects of capturing content for our social media initiatives for the companies. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media Content Collector Intern focusing on photo and video content. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in content curation, social media management, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to learn and grow in the dynamic field of social media.

OBJECTIVES

Content Discovery: Assist in the collection of engaging photo and video content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

Content Curation: Curate and collect relevant content that aligns with the Authority Companies brand identity, values, and target audience demographics. Detailed direction and scheduling will be provided from the Director of Marketing.

Content Aggregation: Monitor trending topics, hashtags, challenges, and viral content to identify opportunities for content collection and engagement.

Content Enhancement: Gain experience in basic content editing techniques to enhance collected material, such as cropping, resizing, and adding captions or overlays.

Quality Assurance: Assist in maintaining the quality and consistency of curated content, ensuring that it reflects the Authority Companies brand messaging and visual standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with team members to support ongoing marketing campaigns and initiatives through content collection and sharing ideas for creative content strategies.

Content Calendar Support: Contribute to the development and maintenance of a content calendar, assisting in scheduling curated content for optimal timing and frequency.

Performance Monitoring: Learn to analyze key metrics and insights to evaluate the performance of curated content, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

Stay Updated: Keep abreast of social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats, sharing insights and findings with the team.

COMPETENCIES

● Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.

● Passion for social media, digital marketing, and visual storytelling.

● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

● Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and accuracy.

● Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

● Basic proficiency in content editing tools/software is a plus.

● Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and platforms.

● Availability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week for the duration of the internship.

● Professional Demeanor with willingness to engage with clients of the Authority Companies to be used in content.
